A botched announcement hands the resistance its arguments
When management announces a merger of departments, a new tool or the arrival of artificial intelligence in daily jobs, employees read the tone before they read the plan. A curt message, a reorganisation date dropped into a Friday evening email, a press article that teams discover before their own manager does: any one of these is enough to plant suspicion. The resistance that follows usually points to a lack of information.
The head of a small company rarely sees this from the inside. They have known the reasons behind the project for months, while the team learns them in a few minutes. That gap in time explains many misunderstandings, and it shrinks when the announcement is prepared with as much care as the project itself.
What the ACMP standard says about communication, adoption and staying power
The ACMP is a professional body, short for Association of Change Management Professionals. The reference text it publishes is titled Standard for Change Management, and its CCMP credential stands for Certified Change Management Professional. Training courses that prepare for the certification build on this framework. Courses that follow it cover how change lands on people, how to rally them, how to communicate, how to lead across teams and exert influence, how to handle resistance, and how to secure adoption and make it last.
For anyone preparing an announcement, three of these themes weigh more than the others. Communication comes first: it is planned, split by audience and measured, instead of being a single message sent to everyone. Adoption follows: a tool that has been delivered achieves nothing until people use it, and daily use is what validates the project. Sustainment closes the loop, since a change that stops being monitored after three months often slides back into old habits.
None of this calls for a dedicated department. A communication or HR lead who masters these three ideas can already write a coherent calendar of announcements, which covers most of the work in a small organisation.
Fitting the press release and internal communication together
The press and the staff read the same project with different questions. A journalist asks what changes for the public, customers or the region. An employee asks what changes for their job, their workplace and their manager. One underlying story, delivered in two versions, avoids the contradictions that people spot very quickly.
Here is a fictional example, invented for this article. Atelier Marenval, an imaginary company of seventy people that designs shop interiors, brings its design office and its production workshop into a single unit. Management first meets the managers, then tells all staff in the early morning, with a page of questions and answers. The press release goes out early that afternoon, and quotes the sentence the managing director said to the teams that morning. Nothing in it contradicts the internal message, and employees find the words they heard in the press.
For the press side, our French guide on how to write a press release step by step sets out the headline, quotation and contact details as newsrooms expect them. The same skeleton works for the internal note.
Two ways to train with Leanova Academy
Teaching entirely at a distance, Leanova Academy listed itself on 1 October 2026 as qualified by the ACMP (a QEP, meaning Qualified Education Provider). Lessons come in Spanish, English and French. A CCMP candidate must show 21 hours of study first, and the academy says its course covers that.
The first route is for a team. A team would take the company-oriented change management course, taught in French. The course runs for 21 hours and is built on the ACMP framework. An instructor leads each session live, remotely or on the client’s site, for a closed group that picks its own dates. The syllabus holds 45 modules, as many task guides and as many professional-grade deliverables. Intended attendees range from managers to project leads, HR, transformation officers and organisational development, none of whom needs an earlier credential. Participants leave with the LCeX-Professional certification, a badge that can be checked online and 21 PDUs.
The second route suits one person, for instance the owner of the company or the communication lead. The LCeX pathway is online and self-paced, in nested levels: each level includes the previous ones and carries its own verifiable digital badge. Specialist brings 22 change simulations run with AI; Master throws in 22 working deliverables plus case studies in which AI upends the organisation.
Levels, hours and prices as of 1 October 2026
| Option | Volume | What it adds | Listed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| LCeX-Essentials | 5 QEP hours, about 7 h of video | Change management basics | US$195 |
| LCeX-Specialist | 8 QEP hours, about 10 h of video | 22 change simulations with AI | +US$295 |
| LCeX-Master | 10 QEP hours, about 14 h of video | 22 deliverables, AI transformation scenarios | +US$395 |
| French-language cohort (LCeX-Professional) | 21 live hours | 45 modules, 45 deliverables | US$7,000 for a group of up to 8 |
Amounts with a plus sign come on top of the previous level. For the cohort, the website indicates roughly 6,050 euros before tax and a price presented as 30 percent below the original rate. A further trainee can be added for a supplement, twelve in all at most.
Choosing by team size and by project
If you are preparing a merger or reorganisation involving several managers, the cohort gives everyone a common vocabulary at the same moment. Participants work on a real case from the company, which brings the course close to the project. For a lone owner who first wants to grasp the terminology, Essentials is a sensible first step, with Specialist as the next one if AI is entering the company’s jobs.
Two points remain unanswered here for lack of a verified source: the CCMP exam conditions and how long the badges stay valid. Ask the provider directly before budgeting for a certification.
Once the training is done, the simplest move is to write a one-page announcement plan: audiences, messages, order, spokesperson, dates. It serves the press and the staff alike, and it complements your long-term work on media relations. This article is also available as a version française.
